PAIN MANAGEMENT

Pain is a useful indicator of your body’s well being, but when it remains past the point of helpfulness, pain can become debilitating. As an OT, Erica will take a look at how chronic pain affects each individual by evaluating physical, cognitive and psychological aspects of one’s daily life. In keeping with her holistic approach to wellness, Erica looks at the connections between a client’s physical body, their mind, and internal energy flow. The intention is to heal the body through organic means and hopefully prevent the need for any drastic, intrusive modality like surgery. Once the source of the pain has been assessed, Erica teaches the client skills to remedy and resist further injury based on their individual needs. These techniques can include meditation, visualization, redirection and relaxation. Because each case is unique to the individual, Erica uses her expertise to craft an exclusive, individualized treatment plan for each client.
